Google Project Glass - Jumping Video
The ability to digitize a part of our world for
accessing all kinds of data based on location and what you’re actually
looking at, i.e. augmented reality is no longer science fiction. While
mobile applications have been available for some time now, based on AR
technology, we as consumers are always “looking” for something more
advanced and that’s where Google’s Project Glass (PG) comes into the “pictures” (pardon the puns).
Project glass has been an intriguing concept, since Google’s
fascinating advertorial video for the prototypes made it out, about a
month ago. The idea that we could have mobile technology combined with
AR tech in a lightweight, wearable module naturally piqued the world’s
curiosity. Within the span of its ‘debut’, test results of the Project
glass prototypes have been making the rounds as Google employees take
the technology to the field. There’s nothing like a field test to give
you the right perspective.

Samsung Galaxy S III rumoured to support wireless charging
The rumour mills continue to churn speculations about, what’s possibly the mobile industry's most anxiously awaited Android. There’s a good reason for all this excitement as Samsung’s previous two Galaxy S smartphones have been huge successes, so there’s a lot of pressure on Samsung to raise the bar one more time. The Galaxy S III was a no-show at MWC, but that’s only becoz Samsung will be hosting their own event on March 22nd, where in all prob.,the S III will be revealed. Coming back to our latest rumour, the new droid is said to support wireless charging, and none of that last-gen inductive charging nonsense.

Apple Patent Reveals Plans for 3D on Steroids
Apple has filed a patent application for a 3D eye-tracking graphical user interface (GUI) for personal electronic devices like the iPhone and iPad.
The application, published Friday by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, describes technology that could be incorporated in the company's iOS mobile operating system for use with gaming, photography, video, biometrics, and surveillance applications, according to the Patently Apple blog, which spotted the filing.
Apple's proposed technology essentially uses various techniques to combine aspects of current 3D simulation for handheld devices with facial-recognition technologies, particularly eye-tracking, to create a more reliable and realistic 3D interface for users.
Current 3D simulation for gaming and other applications on handheld devices uses data from various instruments like accelerometers and gyrometers that are built into the devices to recreate "six-axis" positional information, the blog notes, while facial-recognition software has also been improved upon greatly in recent years for biometrics and other purposes.

Google Plans For Android Home-Own Branded Wireless Home Entertainment System
You may remember during last year’s Google I/O when Google showed off their vision for a fully connected living room, better known as “Android Home” That was all the way back in May, and if you’re wondering why you haven’t heard any news or rumblings from the Google camp, you wouldn’t be alone. Developers too, have been receiving the same silent treatment without so much as a peep from the boys at Google. But after some new developments reported from theWall Street Journal, we may now know why.
Google has been busy developing their very own wireless home-entertainment system — also known as Project Tungsten — to be marketed under big G’s own brand and will launch later this year. I know, it sounds a little far fetched seeing how Google normally likes to stay holed up in their cloud with their software and internet services, but it almost makes sense. Smartphones, televisions and now an entertainment hub — all connected to each other – providing a seamless, wireless experience for the consumer.
