Always search for coupons before purchasing

When purchasing anything online make sure to search for a coupon or promo codes before finalizing the purchase. Searching for coupons can take less than a few minutes to find and can save you on shipping or the overall cost of the purchase. When entering your payment information almost all sites will have an empty box for a coupon or promo code, as shown in the picture to the right on the GoDaddy page.

Open a new tab in your browser with the Google search engine and search for "xxxx coupon" or  "xxxx code", where xxxx is the name of the website you're making the purchase. The results should give you dozens of different places that list the promo or coupon codes. Look for what promo code will best be suited for you and enter the code into the order and click Apply or Ok. If the code is a valid code, your total savings or discount should be shown. If the code does not work or shows no savings then try an alternative code, many codes will have restrictions.
If you're wanting to browse available coupons or just want a specific coupon site to visit to look for codes, we suggest one of the below websites.

Top 10 Internet tips and tricks

You don't need the http:// portion of a web page :

When typing an Internet address you do not need to type http:// or even www. in the address. For example, if you wanted to visit Computer Hope you could just type computerhope.com and press enter. To make things even quicker, if you're visiting a .com address you can type computerhope and then press Ctrl + Enter to type out the full http://www.computerhope.com address.

Quickly move between the fields of a web page :

If you're filling out an online form, e-mail, or other text field you can quickly move between each of the fields by pressing the Tab key or Shift + Tab to move back a field. For example, if you're filling out your name and the next field is your e-mail address you can press the Tab key to switch to the e-mail field.

Nokia Should Use Android as its Windows Phone Backup Plan

Nokia chose Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system over its Symbian platform for its newest smartphones. However, the company’s board chairman Risto Siilasmaa recently said that the company has a backup plan, just in case Windows Phone doesn’t work out. What is it? Forbes briefly suggested the backup plan could be Android, and we agree, although Nokia may also have in-house alternatives ready to go. Here’s why Android could be Nokia’s perfect backup plan.

Nokia Makes Killer Hardware :

Nokia is dead-focused on maintaining its status as one of the world’s largest smartphone makers. Google could help it achieve that status, and Nokia has the know-how to make a device that could stack up against the Galaxy S III and the HTC One X. If anything, Windows Phone is limiting what Nokia can do with smartphones. NFC, higher-resolution displays, HDMI-out, custom user interfaces, quad-core processors — all of this is available for Android now. Why should Nokia wait until Windows Phone 8 to include those features in its handsets?
Nokia has a killer hardware team. The Lumia series are a perfect example of what the company’s industrial design team is capable of building. I could also point you to the N9 or any of its flagship smartphones from the past several years. A slightly modified Android version of those phones could easily go head-to-head with the best from Samsung and HTC.

No bulk SMS, MMS for next 15 days

Starting today, for the next 15 days, the Indian government has imposed a nationwide ban on bulk SMSes and MMSes. The decision has been made in order to curtail text messages and MMSes containing rumours or misleading information about the Assam violence. It has been found that these messages contain fabricated videos, and supposed threats to northeasterners living in several cities across the country. This has caused much panic among those of northeastern origin.

During the period that the ban is effective, it will not be possible to send more than five SMSes or more than 20KB of data at a time from a mobile phone number.

As per reports, the Home Ministry has asked the Department of Telecommunications to implement the order through telecom operators in the country. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh stated that rumours spread by miscreants in this way have caused those of northeastern origin to flee their homes across several places in the country.

The concept of banning bulk messages isn't new. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had allowed customers who did not wish to receive unsolicited commercial calls and SMSes to register their preferences under the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR). Little did the regulatory body know that it would get a miffed response from consumers, who were understandably annoyed by an endless stream of unwanted calls and texts for promotional offers, schemes, etc.

In April last year, the Mumbai Police banned bulk SMSes, especially of the promotional kind, from March 31 to April 2. The order referring to a cricket match read, “…there is a likelihood of creation of discontent in the minds of the general public prior to the final match and after the final match is over, which may create a law and order problem”. Bulk SMS has been identified as one of the possible sources of law and order problems, and has been banned in such situations.
