With these three models, Nokia has tried to fill the large gap in the suite of its products. Nokia has almost lost badly its smartphone market particularly due to the rivals Apple, Google and Samsung. Nokia is facing a tough competition from the rival Samsung which is producing comparatively low cost touch- screen devices with impressive features and last quarter Samsung has also become the world’s largest volume cellphone maker by replacing Nokia.

Ben Wood, head of research at CCS Insight, said :
Nokia urgently needed these products for emerging markets where rival Samsung has had full-touch, low cost devices like the Star since June 2009. Now Nokia needs to quickly make up lost ground with these new products
According to Nokia, Asha 305 will’be available from this month at a price of INR Rs.4700, excluding subsidies and taxes. The Asha 306 and Asha 311 models will go on sale next quarter for INR Rs. 5150 and INR Rs. 6700 respectively.
