Microsoft plans to launch Office for iOS and Android in November

icrosoft launched a set of apps, including Office for Nokia devices running Symbian Belle, last year, and this year it seems they're bringing office to iOS and Android. Boy Genius Report say they have a source close to the matter stating that the company plans to release a full Office suite to iOS devices as well as Android tablets, this coming November. It's is not clear whether the app will come only to the iPad or to other iOS devices, like the iPhone and the iPod Touch, as well. However, the loading screen on the app read -  "Office for iOS". BGR says thoughthat  their source has seen Microsoft Office on an iPad first hand. They say that the app looks almost exactly like the one that had leaked a few months ago, even though after that leak happened, Microsoft denied that that app was genuine.

Office for iOS and Android are likely to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel. There are also likely to be the cloud services that Microsoft ties in with Office. Back in November, we reported that while Microsoft was working on Windows 8 to be ready in the next two years, the company was also likely to launch an Office for iPad sometime in 2012. The Office for iPad was spotted by The Daily, but Microsoft denied the authenticity of the news. Office on the iPad makes so much sense for Microsoft to do that it can be questioned why the company hasn't done it already. The company hasn't commented on the impending November launch report, however.
