Folks at Samsung, and their enthusiasts across Australia can now rejoice as a major barrier looming over the future prospects of the South Korean company has been finally lifted, post a hearing that took place, as per schedule on December 9, 2011, reports Bloomberg Businessweek. Samsung can now line-up their Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets in stores across Australia, making it just in time for the crucial, lucrative Christmas season. Known to most, Apple and Samsung have been battling it out in Australia, in addition to their lawsuits in Germany, France, et al.
The judgment was delivered by High Court Chief Justice, Robert French, along with a three-judge panel, who stated that Apple was unable to convince them that an appeal for the sales ban would bring them victory.
Last week, too, Samsung had managed to steer clear of the sales ban on its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, but, just as celebrations began in the Samsung camp, Apple managed to seek a stay order on the ruling. Post the stay order, Apple also managed to get the ban extended by another week, which ends on December 9th, 2011. To know more about the Apple - Samsung lawsuit, click here.
