Samsung concept video shows off flexible transparent tablet

Come next year, we could expect to see a new form of smartphone, featuring foldable displays. This is the stuff that one could only see whilst watching sci-fi movies. In October, it was reported that Nokia had showcased a new ‘Kinetic Device’, which is a smartphone with a flexible OLED display. After that, not to be outdone, Samsung announced that by next year they could introduce a similar concept on their smartphones. Samsung have taken this a step further and shown off a concept video, displaying a transparent flexible tablet.

According to a report by ubergizmo, it is the Mobile Display Division from Samsung who have released this video of what their future tablets could look like and may accomplish. The video is pretty neat and from the video, we can see that the tablet can be folded, expanded, video calls can be made through the transparent screen, 3D imaging and other brilliant concepts.

We don’t know for sure as to how long Samsung will take to launch a product like this and possibly with their handsets coming out next year, these features may not be on it. But one can certainly know that this is the start of things to come. Let us know your reactions on the video in the comments below.
